trip highlights (in no particular order)
- The physics teacher at Chuka Girls' who chased the form 1s and 2s around the field with a big stick to "recreate" them
- Lyndsey's made-up words, such as onomatoepotize, prafilgate, and narstly
- Wandering around for a whole day with a giant hole in my pants, in honour of Independence Day
- Spending the morning off with Billy, including getting lost on a mountain and following a bare-footed Kikuyu over a barbed-wire fence and through a field of thorny nettle-type attack plants, and being chased through a dense patch of banana trees.
- Walks with Caitlin and Lyndsey, especially Kiswahili lesson day
- The day we climbed Mt Kenya, in particular getting silly high in the Transit Motel truck on the way up, seeing the elephant, "lunch" break, and laughing with the girls
- After-supper chats at Chogoria campsite with everyone, especially Kanja's traditional love dances and stories
- Last night at upper hill
- Elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetah, wildebeasts, impalas, dik dik, Mwo, tourist hunting, dance party, etc.
- Watamu - wandering around, getting lost on my bike, Safari's family, matatu rides, the Molabs
