It is so strange to be a tourist in Kenya after living for so long like a local.
However, I want to be a local who gets to go on safari. Cause safaris are so darn cool. In summary:
# of people: 6
# of times our van bottomed out: 156
# of wildebeasts/zebras: 20,000
# of so-called elusive lions seen: 20
# of rivers forded: 11
# of World Cup finals watched in local Maasai pub: 1
# of bumps on Narok road: 1,923+
# of campsite dance parties: 1.5
# of hours driving in Kenya to date: yikes!
Just for the record, the elephant remains my favourite animal, even though we didn't get to see very many. But those giraffes are pretty darn cool too.
