16 mars 2005, 11:24 Potheads I heard on the radio this morning that each spring, Winnipeggers report over 310,000 unique potholes to whatever agency it is that you report potholes to. Now, Winnipeg isn't a very big city (~700,000), and for potholes to be reported, they must be of significant size to concern the reporting person. This is crazy! People were not meant to live and thrive in this climate. How are cars supposed to survive, particularly when you add pounds of rust-producing salt, block heaters, and hours of idling? These reporting persons are not all your typical wackos who write letters when their KD boxes have 3-too-few macaronis either. Two years ago, from the lovely perch that is my office, I actually saw a car drive into a hole and not be able to get out because they had lost their tire. It was quite funny, but I probably would've been pissed had it been me.
