The Job Search

I have been told that I should chronicle my (self??) imposed quest in search of gainful employment. I argue that it is neither humorous nor exceptional in any way, but being the slacker that I am, it holds promise of actually taking time away from the "job search." So then, today we will review Step 1: Determine the necessity and/or significance of being employed. More simply, do I need a job?
The facts:
1. I have 87$ in my bank account.
2. I am living in my mom’s basement.
3. She feeds me.
4. Other people also like to feed me.
5. I am quite the master at finding free things to do (or, of creating free versions of typically paid activities).
6. I have regular access to a car, a truck, and a motorbike.
Answer: No, a job is not actually necessary.

Question: Am I a burden on society?
1. I am living in my mom’s basement.
2. I contribute no positive intellectual or financial capacity to the country.
Answer: Yes.

Question: Do I have alternative options?
Possibilities:
1. Volunteer
2. Go to school
3. Join a professional sports team
Answer: Well, no.

The facts point to NOT getting a job. Wouldn’t that be nice? Of course, give it a few more days and I will be bored out of my tree, begging for something exciting to do. So, for the time being at least, I will proceed with the challenge
