Embarassed? Never!

You know how every team has that one player, the one who is always there to generate laughter? I'm not talking about your typical class clown-type laughter, but laughter at their stupidity? Well, as it turns out, I'm that player. To my credit, it was my third ball game of the evening, I hadn't yet eaten, and the sun had been baking through my ever-blonding hair all day.

It was easily my best game of the night. I had shot a triple and 2 doubles and had made 2 miracle outfield catches of the diving sort. The play-by-play went something like this: last inning, 2 outs, Kelly up to bat. Woo Hoo. Nicely placed hit over the first basemen. Good solid single. So far so good! Trien, the faltering pitcher's, turn. Whoa, a nice hit over the not-so-stealth left fielder's head. Time to run. Second base. Third base. Kelly turns to flash a smile at the dugout. Step. Step. Dirt.

The best part is that I didn't even trip over the base or anything. In fact, there wasn't anything in my way to trip over except sand. It was really just one of those things that would easily make the bloopers reel. And best of all, I was the last out of the game, and regardless of whether we won 13-1, it still hurts.

The whole event was pretty funny - at least until 15 minutes ago when my previous broken collar bone began throbbing and causing my left hand to twitch. Oh. Twitchy hand is a very bad sign . . .

Now I know you're thinking, "Wow, that kid really shouldn't play sports." However, what you really should be thinking is, "Wow, two entries in one day. She really must be bored." That's all. Pass on the fun.
