Hockey Crazies
Hockey makes me crazy. I can’t think of any other sport on television that gets me up and out of my seat without even thinking about it. At the start of this round, I didn’t really care about the outcome. The teams weren’t particular favourites, so I just chose a couple at random (not really, of course), and went with it. I even tried not to pay attention to when the games were so I wasn’t unconsciously coming home to watch them. That is difficult to do, of course, when you know that there will be 4 straight days of games, followed by a break, followed by another 4 straight games, etc. until the series is over. Anyway, as you can probably guess, I find myself standing in front of my gigantic television most nights. It makes me nervous, and as a result, I am so sore every morning from flexing all my muscles for 3 straight hours. I really have to stop that.
Okay sorry. I was distracted and I forgot what I was really going to write about. I just realized that Patrick Sharp on the Flyers is actually Pat Sharp . When did that happen? How come I didn’t know? It’s a good thing I chose Philadelphia! Also, another fun fact I just discovered: over 65% of the Lightning are Canadian players. That is totally incredible. And, Cori Sarich of the Lighting really is Cori Sarich. Man, I really should start paying more attention to these things – especially since hockey bums and hockey hair made up (well, make up really) such an important part of my life!
